Announcing the 3M Streaming Projector – Your Content Goes Big Screen

Mobile entertainment seems to be the main form of entertainment now. I remember when staying in and watching a movie was called a “Blockbuster Night”. We also rented pay-per-view movies. Then Netflix came in and delivered the entertainment to your home. Now we can find Netflix on nearly every device; from your Playstation, Xbox; to your smartphone and tablet. We download and stream movies straight to these devices.

Of course we don’t always want to watch movies on the small screen. That’s where 3M’s new mobil projector comes into play. In partnership with Roku (the popular streaming player); the 3M Streaming Projector will bring back the big movie experience with ease. The 3M streaming projector is so small; it fits in the palm of your hand. It’s ideal for those who can’t invest the money or a complete wall for a full-sized projector. It will make you want to get the most out of your streaming programs. All you need is WiFi.

I got to play with the projector for a bit. I must say the setup is pretty easy. Connect to the Wi-Fi and you have plenty of streaming content options available. There are over 600+ channels available; including major ones such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, and Pandora. We were also able to see it in a few scenarios; backyard, bedroom and living room. It can project an image of up to 120 inches. The battery can last up to 2 hours and 45 minutes. It has a built-in speaker and 3.5 mm output jack. It goes for $299. You can buy it exclusively at Amazon.com (pre-order). They are currently offering a $20 Amazon Video credit with the purchase of the 3M Streaming Projector. I will be reviewing the projector shortly.
