What is Turn Your Miles (RED)?

TURN YOUR MILES (RED) is an eight-week campaign giving walkers, runners and people of all levels of fitness worldwide the platform to make a collective contribution that will save lives. TURN YOUR MILES (RED) tries to drive home the point that for every mile you run we get closer to an AIDS free generation.

They make it simple to participate. Simply pledge your miles using the Nike+ Running App and for every pledged mile, Bank of America will donate 40 cents- up to $1 million- to the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis, and Malaria to support and fund prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, in partnership with (RED).

  • Pledge
  • Download the Nike+ Running App
  • Sync your miles with Nike+ Running

This campaign is Powered by Nike+ – a free app with a global user base of over 30 million fitness enthusiasts, so imagine if they all pledged a mile then you joined and pledged just a mile? Amazing things can happen. The campaign is in full swing but it runs through December 7 so you still have time to join in. If you search #onestep4red on Twitter, you’ll see supporters all over the world (including elite athletes) who have already begun pledging their miles to (RED) and encouraging others to do the same.
