Blizzard Announces New eSports Tournament: “Heroes of the Dorm”

The company behind successful series such as Diablo, World of Warcraft, StarCraft and now Heroes of The Storm have something special for fans. Blizzard has just announced The ultimate Heroes of Storm Collegiate Tournament, which will be held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles on April 26. The event will feature the top “Heroes Four” team from schools across the U.S. and Canada will battle it in the final matches called Heroes if Dorm. The winning team will walk away with up to $450,000 in tuition and other prizes.

If you are in the SoCal area and want to cheer for your favorite college team you must show up early, doors open at 1:30 pm PT and is free, but space is limited. Attendees will enjoy other events and activities, such as a developer chat session, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone, plus receiving some cool gifts up (while supplies last), which will include a Heroes of the Storm portrait, Hero and Skin bundle, and closed beta test access; as well as a TeSPA card back for Hearthstone.

If you can’t make it to the event don’t worry ESPN will air the epic final battle LIVE on TV and digital platforms on April 26. More than 400 schools across the U.S. and Canada, including Penn State, UCLA, and Georgia Tech— are geared up and ready for the battle.
