Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum Gaming Keyboard Review

If there has been one complaint I have heard from many gamers it is, “I don’t have enough space.” This is a very common problem for PC gamers as most of us have more than one monitor, a tower, mouse and of course, our headsets. When setting up all the essentials you need you come to find yourself constantly making room where your mouse and keyboard live. I myself have had to move my mouse, or angle my keyboard in a different way just to feel comfortable, I’ve seen other keyboards that were different in size, but once the keyboard gets smaller you will see that the basic’s for any good gaming keyboard becomes compromised.

Logitech, one of the major companies when it comes to gaming accessories, launched their new gaming keyboard, but here’s the catch, it’s small and lightweight. Logitech’s G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is half the size of leading gaming keyboards. Now, we know-once you chop its size, you chop the quality down, but can Logitech prove that they can make a smaller keyboard, but still have qualities that they are known for? I replaced my old gaming keyboard with the G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard to see how well it could hold up.

Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum Design

The G410 is smaller than most gaming keyboards, the company worked close with pro gamers and found that pro gamers need more room while playing, some players would have to position their keyboard on an angle just to fit everything they need in a small environment. I myself have had that problem, with some gaming keyboards they take up a majority of the room, where I have to rearrange my whole set-up just make myself comfortable in order to play.

When setting up the Atlas Spectrum TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard I didn’t have to do much in order for it to fit comfortably, the keyboard and mouse fit perfectly in a small area. With the weight being cut in half, the weight of the keyboard is almost non-existent. I took the G410 with me on my recent trip to Washington D.C. and the only thing that put weight on my bookbag was my laptop. The keys are slightly curved to fit your fingers, and to keep them from hitting another key by mistake, and the keys feel smooth.

Mechanical Keys

Even though the size has changed, it doesn’t mean the keys have. Logitech stays true to its brand, the keyboard features the companies’ exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches. The switches give players a 25% faster response, which is perfect for any game, no other gaming keyboard offers these keys. I play mostly MOBA games, and I need that faster response, everyone knows that every second counts in a game, so Logitech giving players faster response time is defiantly a plus.

The Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum features exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches that also register your key presses up to 25 percent faster than competing mechanical switches. With an actuation point of 1.5 mm, Romer-G switches receive commands more quickly, giving you an edge in competitive games where every millisecond matters. Yes, the keyboard is smaller, but that doesn’t mean it’s less durable. With improved durability at 70 million keystrokes, up to 40 percent longer than others on the market, you can play with confidence knowing that your keyboard can survive.

Customization / Arx Control Integration

One of the features that gamers love the most is customization. You can set your keys using the color palette that offers over 16.8 million colors, this allows you to store and save each command key to a preferred game. If you’re having trouble picking a color, not to worry-you can have every color you like going off at one time. You also have central back-lighting, this will help players find the keys you need, even in the dark.

If you’re not familiar with Arx Control Integration, it’s a free app available on your iOS or Android devices. The app allows for your device to display in-game information. On the back of the keyboard you will find a small dock, the Arx Control dock allows you to place your device (phone, or tablet) on the stand, this makes it easier for you to see stats as soon as they appear.

Logitech’s G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has everything any gamer would want, customization, lightweight, durability and of course, the 25% faster response due to the exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches. But still, some may be a little apprehensive to add it to their collection because of the missing number pad, but I’m telling you, once you take the G410 for a test drive, you won’t even notice anything is missing. I enjoyed taking the Atlas Spectrum with me while I traveled, it didn’t take up much space in my bag, nor did it add much weight to it. Most of you have seen pictures of my set up and can see I have tons of equipment, I was able to free up a lot of space once I removed my old gaming keyboard and replaced it the G410.

If you’re looking for pro like keyboard you can travel around with, or need one that you can use in a limited area, The Logitech’s G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a must have!
