Today, the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta is now available to all Xbox Live Gold members later today. Those of you who played Gears of War Ultimate Edition before April 11, were given early access from April 18-24. For those of you who are just now being able to play the beta, you will only be able to play from today through May 1.
But that’s not the only news we have for Gears of War fans. Those of you who purchase the Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition will be able to play the game four days earlier, Oct. 7, (the game will be available to play on Oct. 11, for those who don’t purchase the Ultimate Edition).
The Ultimate Edition Bundle will cost fans $99.99. Yes, I know some of you may feel that’s a lot, but let’s break down what this version offers.
The Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition Season Pass will include:
– Digital Vintage Pack will include five exclusive digital items- Vintage JD character skin, Vintage Gnasher and Dropshot weapon skins, Vintage JD Emblem as well as the Vintage JD Bounty.
– You will also have over 24 additional maps, two maps will be released once month for a year, this maps will be used for private play on current servers.
– You will also receive a VIP “Early Access” Playlist. The playlist will allow players to preview upcoming modes and maps before anyone else.
– Players will also look forward to the “Gear Packs,” these packs will allow you to unlock special characters along with weapon skins, equipment, abilities, and XP boosting bounties (I’m sure this will be favorite amongst players).
