Tekken 7 Coming Early 2017 (Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Free on Xbox)

Today, during E3 BANDAI NAMCO announced that Tekken 7 will be available for the Xbox One, Steam for PC’s and the PlayStation 4 – but the game will not be available until early 2017.

If you were impressed on how the game looked, you should know that Tekken 7 is powered by Unreal Engine 4 – the company wanted to take the graphics to the next level; this will allow players to see the smallest detail in each character, as well as having a beautiful backdrop. Players will also get to meet fighters such as Kazumi Mishima, Claudio, Josie, Shaheen, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Gigas and Street Fighters, Akuma.

“We’re excited to bring one of the most celebrated and hardcore competitive fighting games to the Xbox One and PC gaming audiences.” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “TEKKEN 7 is poised to heat up the eSports scene and taking it to Xbox One and PC audiences will further expand the pool of talented competitive tournament players nationwide. With TEKKEN 7 we’re focused on electrifying the competitive fighting game tournament circuit with the hardest hitting TEKKEN game yet.”

Now, some of you are a little disappointed that you will have to wait until early 2017 to get your hands on the game, but BANDAI NAMCO decided to give fans a treat – In celebration of the announcement of Tekken 7, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be free to download for a limited time for Xbox Live Gold members. Xbox Live Gold members can download the game starting today through June 21, 2016 at 3:00am PDT. The game can be downloaded on the Xbox One console, Xbox 360 console, and Xbox.com website. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 can also be enjoyed on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
