We recently reviewed the Sony 1000XM2 headphones and now Sony is on to the next one with the Sony 1000 XM3. Check out some of the features below. They’ve kept the same look as previous gens, and updated the technology. While they are a bit on the pricier side, the design, features, and sound make it worth it. The silver version looks nice, but I’m really feeling the black and gold version. These headphones aim to bring in the music nice and loud, with their 40mm drivers. And they also plan to play all day, with up to 30 hours of playback.
Industry-leading noise canceling: Sony’s proprietary HD Noise Canceling Processor QN1 brings the WH-1000XM3 to the pinnacle of noise cancellation
Premium Sound: The 40mm drivers with Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) diaphragms are Hi-Res Audio compatible, reproducing a full range of frequencies
Smart Listening: Smart Listening by Adaptive Sound Control automatically detects your activity and balances noise canceling levels accordingly

Some other cool things about the 1000 XM3s is that you can activate your Google Assistant with the touch of a button. While I’m not a heavy Google Assistant user, it’s a lot more convenient than taking off your headphones every time you need it. The same goes for quickly stopping the music. If you’re jammin’ out with your headphones on, you can stop the music with just one gesture. It’s called Quick Attention Mode. Just cover the right cup with your hand and the music is automatically paused. It was of my favorite features in the XM2 versions. I am glad they brought it to the XM3.
