We had a chance to check out the Tecno Slim thin phone at IFA in Berlin. They were not exaggerating on how thin it is. We had a sneak peak of the phones at MWC, in Barcelona, earlier this year.
The Tecno Slim is 5.95mm thin with a large battery at 5,160 mAh. The 6.78-inch curved display has a 144hz refresh rate. It has a 13MP selfie camera and a 50MP rear dual camera setup. Both are rocking MediaTek chips, 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. We had the chance to play with the mood lighting on the rear of the phone. It serves as an indicator light. You can program it to let you know when it’s charging, if you’ve received messages, etc.
Unfortunately I don’t see the silver/mirror finish that I saw at MWC. It was a beautiful device. While thin, the phone did not feel flimsy at all. The display was bright and fluid. There is no official pricing on the devices yet.
