We were on site for Samsung’s big announcement. Just as rumors speculated, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 5, and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The powerhouse devices have similar specs and of course the obvious physical differences. You can pre-order the devices today,they officially launch on August 21. You might be able to go to your local carrier store, and Best Buy and get some hands-on time with the devices before launch.

Hands-On
If you have played with the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, you will have a familiar feel with the new Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus. These phones are super sleek, thanks to the glass build. The Note 5 has the curve in the back to fit nicely in hand. The S-Pen seems lighter, and has a click to remove, a click to store feature. You click the S-Pen, like you would a regular ball point pen. It’s small upgrade, but one of my faves. The Air Command menu has also changed. You can add 3 apps to the menu,f for quick access. Yes, this does include 3rd party apps.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus feels the same as the original S6 Edge. The Apps Edge feature is pretty cool. You have quick access to your favorite contacts and favorite apps.
Both phones have fast wireless charging which Samsung claims will fully charge your device in 2 hours (90 minutes for wired fast charging). You will need Samsung’s new wireless charging pad. Samsung also released a keyboard cover for the devices. Looks a little odd to me, so I’m curious to see if it will catch on.
Overall the new Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have luxurious builds with stunning screens to impress. We’ll wait for more time to with the phones to get a better overall feel of the phones. Are you thinking of upgrading to the Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus?
