UE MEGABOOM Design
The UE MEGABOOM Shockwave Edition is about the size of a medium water bottle, on the bottom of one side of the speaker is the power button, as well as the Bluetooth light, which lets you know that your device has been connected. The speaker is covered with yellow and blue fabric (Red Bull colors), with red rubber on the side, top, and bottom that makes the speaker stand out.
The red rubber on the side is perfect to use as a grip, I used the red rubber to hold on and carry it around. At first, when I saw a picture of the MEGABOOM I was expecting it to be big, but when I took it out the box it was actually smaller than expected.
I decided to take it with me on my trip and didn’t notice any difference in weight in my bag. Since the speaker is about the size of a water bottle (just a little thicker) I was able to put it in my side pocket where a water bottle would normally go, so in actuality the Bluetooth speaker didn’t take up any room.
UE MEGABOOM Sound Quality
I was impressed with the sound quality – I connected my phone to the MEGABOOM Shockwave Speaker, and it was as if you were listening to music on your high-end stereo system. I put the volume up to the max – with the volume that high I heard slight static, not too much.
When you’re watching a movie or gaming on a tablet you want that studio sound even if you are on the go. With the UE MEGABOOM, all you have to do is connect your Bluetooth tablet to the speaker and you will feel like you are watching, or playing on a high definition television.

The UE MEGABOOM Shockwave Edition is a great accessory for any music lover to own, but you don’t have to be a music lover to enjoy it. You can use it to make your own portable high definition movie theater, or use it to make you feel like you’re at home on your console systems. No need to worry about the UE MEGABOOM getting dirty, or having to worry if it falls, the speaker is extremely durable and if it gets too dirty you can easily rinse off it off and it’ll look brand new. You can also use the app to control the party from anywhere, so you don’t have to be right next to the speaker to control it. The UE MEGABOOM Shockwave Edition is perfect for everyday use.
