Google I/O is today, and among the many announcements were all the smart glasses. Gentle Monster has partnered with Google and Samsung to design some of the eyewear. They refer to it as “intelligent eyewear”. They will be coming later this year as part of a fall collection.
What Features Will the Smart Glasses Have?
There are no specifics yet. We know the glasses will feature microphones, built-in speakers, and a camera to deliver full functionality. This will allow users to do things like listen to music and take calls.

Gentle Monster’s upcoming intelligent eyewear, designed in partnership with Google and Samsung, was revealed at today’s Google I/O 2026.
Created to deliver in-the-moment assistance while keeping users present and engaged with the world around them. The first intelligent eyewear collection from Gentle Monster will include audio glasses with voice-assisted support coming later this fall.
Merging Samsung’s legacy of product innovation and hardware engineering, these audio glasses feature built-in speakers, a camera, and microphones, allowing users to listen to music, make calls, and take photos. In addition, users can speak with Google Gemini to access information about their surroundings, get turn-by-turn navigation instructions, or provide live translations. Gemini can even complete complex tasks, like editing a photo in the moment or ordering a delivery just by asking.
Audio glasses can only become part of everyday life if they’re both stylish and comfortable. This is why Google and Samsung have partnered with Gentle Monster to create a unique, style-conscious design for everyday wear.
A first Gentle Monster design was revealed at today’s I/O, with the full collection arriving later this year.
