Bose@50 – Celebrating 50 Years of Bose Sound

Bose is celebrating 50 years of sound. Learn a little about their history and their firsts. #BoseAt50

As you already know we’re big fans of music here at TechWeLike. We respect the hard work and dedication. We recently had the chance to experience the growth of Bose at their 50th anniversary celebration. While some know them for their clock radios and Classic iPod docks, Bose has done a lot more.

Check out our review of the Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones

They started with their first consumer product, the 2201 Speaker in 1966, continued through their search for noise cancellation technology that started in 1978, had the first premium sound system in the Cadillac Seville in 1982, the success Bose Wave Radio in 1993, the introduction iconic Bose Acoustic Noise Cancelling headset in 2000, a staple in the noise-cancelling headphone division, and now the official sound of the NFL. I skipped through many other iconic inventions and successes by Bose, but I can’t recap all 50 years. They are definitely one of the pioneers in the audio industry.

Check out the timeline in the video below. We have some pics of the iconic devices as well.
