The Google Pixel 8a is official. We saw most of these specs with the leaks. One of the best affordable phones out there, the Pixel A series is always impressive. Powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip, the Pixel 8a has tons of AI features to help capture great photos. These features include Best Take to get a great group photo, Magic Editor to adjust the photo with the details you want, and Audio Magic Eraser to remove unwanted and distracting sounds such as wind or sirens from your videos.

You get a decent-sized 6.1-inch OLED display (1080 x 2400). We hope the 4492 mAh battery provides decent battery life, as Google promises up to 24 hours of battery life. In the case that you need to charge up, you have fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
The Pixel’s most loved feature is its cameras. You get a 64MP Quad PD wide camera and a 13MP ultrawide rear camera with a 120-degree field of view. Best of all, there is a 256GB storage option available for all the pictures. The best part of the Pixel 8A is the seven years of software updates.

The Pixel 8A is available in four colors: a bright new color, Aloe (solid mint green), and the favorite blue, Bay. If those are too bright for you, you can go with the more neutral options, Obsidian or Porcelain.
The Pixel 8a starts at $499 and will be available at the Google Store beginning May 14. At that price, you get nearly the same features as the Pixel 8 for less. The Pixel 8A has a 4,492 mAh battery, slightly lower than the Pixel 8’s 4,575 mAh battery. As always, trade-ins and carrier offers can sweeten the price on these phones.
