Beats Teams Up with Pokémon for a Supercharged Beats Pill Bluetooth Speaker
Beats is tapping into nostalgia and pop culture, teaming up with The Pokémon Company International to launch the special-edition Pokémon x Beats Pill wireless Bluetooth speaker. Pairing signature Beats sound with fan-favorite Pokémon, this limited release brings an energetic, collectible twist to the popular Beats Pill speaker.
Pokémon x Beats Pill: The Collaboration & Playful Design
The speaker features both Pikachu and Mimikyu right on the grill, blending Pikachu’s electric yellow upfront with a grayscale interpretation of Mimikyu across the back. In a first for Beats, this Pill speaker includes collectible, bespoke charms featuring the iconic Poké Ball, Pikachu’s lightning bolt, and the classic Beats “b” logo alongside interactive custom packaging, a matching removable lanyard, and an easy-to-grip silicone back.
“Pokémon Trainers are some of the most passionate in the world, and we saw an opportunity to channel that energy into something fun, unexpected, and created especially for fans,” said Chris Thorne, Beats CMO. “This collaboration unites two brands rooted in culture, giving fans a new way to express their love of Pokémon through sound.”
Connectivity & Audio Specs
Under the hood, the speaker packs a punchy acoustic system with room-filling bass. Connectivity covers both wireless and wired setups:
- Wireless Playback & Pairing: Stream via Bluetooth or sync two Beats Pills together using Amplify Mode or Stereo Mode.
- Lossless Audio: Plug directly into your device via USB-C for high-resolution lossless playback.
Battery Life & Durability on the Pokémon x Beats Pill
Built for life on the go, the speaker delivers up to 24 hours of battery life and boasts an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, making it ready for the beach, park, or gym. Plus, it doubles as a backup power bank, letting you reverse-charge your smartphone via USB-C when your battery runs low.
