Apple has officially stepped into the smart display arena with the Apple HomeView. If you have been wanting a dedicated screen for smart home control, FaceTime, and tabletop entertainment, this might be what you’ve been waiting for.
Here is everything you need to know about Apple’s newest smart home hub.

Apple HomeView Design and Display
Apple designed HomeView to fit naturally into everyday spaces, whether that is on your kitchen counter, living room credenza, or bedside table.
- Form Factor: Built with an aluminum enclosure and a stainless steel hinge connecting the display to a domed speaker base, allowing smooth tilt adjustments.
- Display: 7-inch Liquid Retina display featuring True Tone technology.
- Adaptive Brightness: Adjusts from a vibrant 500 nits down to a subtle 0.3 nits so it won’t be bright during evening hours.
- Proximity UI: The interface adjusts based on how close you are to the screen. It presents glanceable, high-level info when you are across the room and reveals detailed widgets and controls as you walk up.
- Color Finishes: Available in Silver, Starlight, Rose Pink, and Space Gray, each bundled with a color-matched woven USB-C cable.

For those who prefer a cleaner, floating aesthetic, Apple is also offering a dedicated Wall-Mounted HomeView in Silver and Space Gray, compatible with purpose-built Schneider Home mounts. There will be a Power Mount PoE Wired available starting in early 2027.
Features
- Multi-User Facial Recognition: HomeView recognizes up to six household members by face. As you approach, the display instantly shifts to your personal Home Screen with your calendars, reminders, and messages, keeping individual data private from other family members and guests.
- Next-Gen Siri AI: Powered by Apple silicon and Apple Intelligence, Siri AI brings onscreen awareness, conversational depth, and broad world knowledge. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it securely references your personal context across apps.
- Cross-Device Continuity: Start a request or inquiry with Siri on HomeView, and the thread syncs through iCloud so you can pick it up right on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, or Vision Pro.
