Phones and Gadgets
LG G3
I think LG is going to take 2014 by storm with the new G3. This phone has all the specs for a flagship device. With 3 GB and a beautiful high resolution (2,560 × 1,440) display, you def have a powerhouse in your hands. The skin on the LG G3 is refined (better than before) making it look nice. The rear view 12 MP camera has OIS, and the 2.1 front-facing camera has selfie-taking features too.
HTC One M8
We told you about the HTC One M8 in our Mother’s Day Gift Guide, and it’s worth mentioning again. At an affordable price of $99, you get many great smartphone features. The HTC One M8’s BoomSound speakers are sure to be a hit with dad. The quality aluminum build is beautiful and the DuoCamera has fun and playful features to edit pictures.
Samsung Galaxy S5
This is a great gift for the working (or clumsy) dad that needs a water-resistant and dustproof phone. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is packed with features like a heart-rate monitor (for the dad or grad keeping tabs), a fingerprint scanner for easy access for dad and no one else.
Samsung Gear 2 (smartwatch)
This is for the dad / grad who pretty much has it all. A nice accessory to the Galaxy S4, or Galaxy S5, the Samsung Gear 2 is a smartwatch that gives you notifications from your phone. From texts, to social media networks, the Gear 2 keeps you up-to-date with what is going on without having to pull your phone up all of the time. It has a heart-rate monitor on it as well. Great on keeping tabs for everything.
Sony Smartband
For the dad / grad getting into keeping tabs on their daily activity, the Sony Smartband is one of the newest activity trackers out there. You can track all activity and get certain notifications such as SMS, smart alarm, and calls. You can even bookmark special moments with the Smartband key.

Musical Gifts for Dads and Grads
JBL Charge
You already know that I am a fan of JBL. They provide amazing sound and so many options. I have a pair of headphones and a Bluetooth speaker from them (JBL Pulse). The JBL Charge is another great product. It has 6,000 mAh battery that can last to up to 12 hours of playback time, or you can split that up with power for charging your device.
Soundfreaq Sound Spot
If your dad / grad is looking for a little speaker to add massive sound to their office / dorm. The Soundfreaq Sound Spot is a great affordable speaker. Not only does it provide great sound, it has great style and a great price. It allows you to charge your phone on it as well.

Wireless Headphones
BlueAnt Pump HD Wireless Earbuds
Wireless is the way to go no, but not every company is good at it. The BlueAnt Pump HD wireless earbuds are waterproof (IP67). The military-grade, rugged design protects the premium audio components from rain, dust, debris, sweat and even a rinse under the tap at the end of workouts. With PUMP’s Superfit System, no matter how hard you go, they go with you, allowing you to move with complete freedom and confidence during rigorous workouts and activities.”
Jaybird Bluebuds X Wireless Headphones
These headphones are great if you don’t want the piece behind your ear. There’s a piece that allows you to keep the headphones in place. You can wear them over-ear or under-ear. They promise no skips with their “SignalPlus” innovation. They also offer Liquipel Sweat Repellant Nano Technology, that provides the BlueBuds X with added protection from exposure to sweat and the elements. A lot of boom in a small package.
