We had the chance to go to 2024 Pantone’s Color of the Year event. The Pantone color of the year is Peach Fuzz 13-1023. The event was peach fuzz-themed, from the decor to the food. Some guests even dressed in the color. It was a special occasion as it is Pantone’s 25th Color of the Year.
A fun installation was the Motorola setup. The Moto Razr+ (or Razr Ultra 40) folding phone and the Motorola Edge 40 Neo were available in the new Peach Fuzz colors.
We were formally introduced to the Peach Fuzz color by Pantone President Elley Cheng and Vice President Laurie Pressman.
Ruben Castano, Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience and Design, was there to talk about the meaning of the Peach Fuzz color and the partnership between Motorola and Pantone. This is the third time in two years that Motorola has teamed up with Pantone to deliver phones in the Pantone Color of the Year. For 2023, it was Moto Razr + in Viva Magenta.

Guests of the Pantone event were also treated to a multisensory dining experience. Chef and Founder of Kitchen Theory, Jozef Youssef, enlightened us with the most delicious dessert. Served on peach fuzz-colored tiles, this cheesecake-like dessert was amazing.
As expected, everything at the event was in the hue of Peach Fuzz. Another sponsor, Shades by Shan, was present to provide products in the Peach Fuzz shade. They have introduced a Lip Shine in the Color of the Year. You can order it now and expect it to ship in early 2024.

Just like the other Motorola Razr+ devices, the specs have not changed. The Moto Razr+ has a 6.9-inch 1080p foldable display and a 3.6-inch OLED external display. No longer sporting a chin, the external display goes up to 144Hz refresh rate and is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus gen-1 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage size. It’s powered by a 3,800 mAh battery.
