Snooki Headphones and Phone Case – Attack of the Cheetah Print [Review]

We love headphones here at Tech We Like. Back at CES 2013 we heard that Snooki was releasing headphones with iHip for the second time. The definition of stylish and practical is up to the consumer. As many know, I am up for all things girly so I wanted to definitely check these out.

At the 2012 CES, she announced a pair of blinged out over-the-ear headphones. Part of her “Snooki Couture by Nicole Polizzi” line, these headphones promised to sound good and of course promised style. The definition of stylish and practical is up to the consumer. As many know, I am up for all things girly so I wanted to definitely check these out.

Some won’t like the line based on the celebrity sponsoring it. But keep in mind that there is an entire design team behind this helping guide the headphones.

I am a fan of the leopard / cheetah print in little dosages. I think it can add the perfect side of girly to anything. I didn’t know what to expect when receiving the Snooki iHip headphones, I’ll say it was pretty much what I expected given pricing, style, and ambassadorship.

These are very bold looking headphones. Well you’ll definitely make a statement with these. As if I needed to tell you that. I doubt people would notice that they are headphones because they will see the big leopard bow. I’ll admit that Snooki could pull off the bow, but I don’t think everyone can.

I do think it’s for the tween in your household. They are willing to be more bold and it’s a great combo of both sound and “style”. It has a very girly girl style. If you’re into the bow thing, it might work on some days as a statement piece. I wasn’t for me personally. But there might be those rare days where the right risk taker could make it work. They are def an acquired taste. That won’t be me.

As for sound, you can expect the sound of your stock iPhone / iPod Touch headphones. Simple and mediocre. I wasn’t disappointed as I expected that from headphones in this price range. Surprisingly the cushioning on the inside of the headband is super comfy. The headband was a bit heavy, maybe because of the bow.

Snooki Couture by Nicole Polizzi - Snooki Headphones CES (5)These headphones are great for tweens because they don’t go too loud. Tweens love blasting their music, so this is a good way of protecting them from damaging their hearing.

The in-ear headphones I could deal with. The style is subtle yet cute. It has just two leopard feathers hanging from the ear hook (only one hook has the feathers) and a diamond stud for a little sparkle. The quality of sound is the same as the on ear headphones. I will use these as my back up headphones.

They come with a really nice phone case. That was my incentive for getting them. If you or another girl in your circle is a leopard / cheetah print lady, you’d find this case cute.

Like many other headphones in this price range, you can expect regular sound. No excess bass or mids. These headphones are definitely for teens and cheetah print lovers. At least you won’t hurt your wallet purchasing these.

Snooki Couture by Nicole Polizzi – Your Style?

If you’re looking for replacement headphones for the stock ones that came with your smartphone or MP3 player I’d stick with the in-ear headphones, as they aren’t as loud but they add a little splash or girly girl style.
