Your keyboard is your main controller. It is your most powerful weapon when it come to your online battles. Now, I’m sure it becomes overwhelming when you have so many gaming keyboards to choose from, you need to know what features suit you the best.

The G213 is the newest addition to the Logitech Family. The new keyboard is four times faster than your standard gaming keyboard – the keyboard features the company’s Mech-Dome keys which give response and performance time the same speed of a mechanical keyboard.

One of my favorite features of the G213 Prodigy is that it’s spill-resistant. The keyboard is coated, which makes it easier to clean up crumbs and spills easier. You no longer have to jump up to make sure to dry off your keyboard quickly before the liquid gets absorbed and destroys it.

The Prodigy also features dedicated media controls which allow you to control whatever is running in the background, so you won’t have to exit out of a game to do so.

The Logitech Prodigy G213 also has five individual lighting zones that offer up to 16.8 million colors to choose from, so you can change the colors according to your personal set-up.

The Skeltr not only works with your PC, but it also works with your mobile devices. You can place your tablet, or phone into the fold, once you connect all devices – you can type on the same keyboard with just a touch of a button. You no longer have to look for your phone, or tablet while in a game. The dock for your mobile devices is positioned in the rear of the keyboard, so it won’t be in the way while you’re playing.

The SKELTR also allows you to type out messages, answer calls and listen to music on your mobile devices. All you have to do is connect your phone and headset to the Skeltr keyboard.

You also have three programmable thumbster keys, along with five programmable macro keys, the Easy-Shift with 20-key EasyZone. Pick any color scheme you want with over 16.8 RGB backlighting colors you can have a different color every time you play.

With the Ornata Chroma, Razer decided to go with a whole new custom design. You will notice that the keyboard is built with the all new Razer Mecha-Membrane. The Razer Mecha-Membrane gives the keyboard a combination of a soft cushioned touch and the quick response click of a mechanical switch keyboard. The keyboard offers fully programmable keys with on the fly macro recording.

The Mid-Height of the keycaps allows for a faster response. The Ornata Chroma also offers players the option to customize their keyboard with their favorite colors.

The Razer Ornata Chroma also has a unique wrist rest design. The wrist rest is ergonomic to help players from getting cramps and being uncomfortable when it comes to long gaming sessions.

You can also store up to four different profiles right onto the onboard memory.

The K95 RGB comes with Cherry MX Red keys, and you also get a detachable wrist rest, so if you don’t feel like using it, you can always put it to the side. If you are not too fond of the texture of your WASD key, there is another set of keys in the box that have a different feel.

The Apex M500 is smaller in length and weight than the Apex M800. The M500 features a 10-4 key rollover for anti-ghosting, the key is also a mechanical switch which is Cherry MX Red. The Cherry MX Red key makes for a fast and comfortable play session.

The Apex M500 does not have dedicated Macro-keys, but you can still control your media using the F5-F12 keys and pressing the SteelSeries function key at the same time. You will find the SteelSeries function key in between the right Alt key and Menu key. All of the keys on the M500 are programmable, because of the Engine 3, this will allow you to assign and save your Macro command keys.

Unlike the other gaming keyboards on this list that have tons of colors to choose from, you won’t be able to change the blue backlit lighting with the M500. However, you can easily adjust the speed of the lighting pattern.
