Did you know that the average Verizon-connected home has about 18 connected devices? At the Verizon Digital Wellness Summit, they unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at promoting healthy digital habits for families, one of them being an immersive pop-up event in New York City.

The Verizon Arcade Unplugged is a family-friendly pop-up with thrilling challenges, unexpected twists, and the kind of genuine, face-to-face moments we often miss in our hyper-connected world.
“Building healthy habits in our digital lives is essential for overall well-being. Verizon is empowering families to have peace of mind around their children’s online lives by providing resources and tools that promote digital safety – and encouraging kids to put the phones down from time to time,” said Sowmyanarayan Sampath, CEO, Verizon Consumer. “We’re committed to making sure that technology enhances our lives, rather than detracts from them, and our new initiatives are a significant step in that direction.”
Featured games include:
- Color Dash: Race your friends to the correct tile before the spotlight disappears in a fast-paced, neon-lit challenge where speed and focus determine the last one standing.
- Castle Showdown: Beat the clock and compete against your friends to either slingshot to victory or defend your castle in a whimsical world, aiming to knock down all three flags first.
- Temple of the Hidden Message: Work with your crew to solve riddles, uncover hidden letters, and piece together puzzles in ancient ruins to discover the hidden message before time runs out.
