• First Over-Ear Beats with IPX4: The Beats 360 is officially rated IPX4 sweat and water-resistant.
• Mechanical Acoustic Firewall: Instead of relying on thick, bulky rubber gaskets that choke audio fidelity, Beats engineers developed an internal mechanical firewall. This separates sensitive electronics, including the chipboards, dual batteries, and antennas, from the rear acoustic chamber and venting, preserving bass response and acoustic airflow while locking moisture out.

Modular Cushions: Twist, Click, and Customize

One of the standout announcements is true modularity. In response to feedback indicating that 94% of users wanted interchangeable cushions, Beats made customizing and swapping pads effortless:

• Quick-Swap Mechanism: Ear cushions twist and click off in seconds, while the headband cushion snaps in and out. You can swap out sweaty pads for a dry set after a workout, or mix colors to match your outfit.
• Performance Knit Cushions: Moving away from standard pleather that gets slick and hot during workouts, Beats engineered a new breathable Performance Knit. It uses a woven filament made of 36 fine microthreads in a diamond weave over acoustically engineered memory foam.

• Ultra Plush Option: For those who still prefer the classic leatherette feel of the Studio Pro, an Ultra Plush cushion is also available.
• Smart Acoustic Auto-Tuning: The headphone frame features built-in sensors that detect whether you’ve attached Performance Knit or Ultra Plush cushions. The system automatically recalculates and applies an internal EQ curve to maintain consistent, intended sound signature, chiming with an audible tone to confirm a proper lock.

256 Color Combinations at Launch

The Beats 360 headphones launch in four base frame colors:

• Sky
• Cloud
• Black
• Pink

Each frame ships with matching monochromatic Performance Knit cushions. Additional standalone cushion packs can be purchased in Performance Knit (Sky, Cloud, Black, Pink, Navy, and Bold Yellow) and Ultra Plush (Black and Cloud). Mixing and matching ear cushions and headband pads allows for up to 256 possible style combinations.

• Natural Transparency & Adaptive EQ: A wide-frequency transparency mode keeps you aware of traffic or gym chatter, while Adaptive EQ optimizes audio based on your specific ear fit when ANC is off.
• Personalized Spatial Audio: Full dynamic head tracking and Dolby Atmos support keep you centered in an immersive 360-degree soundstage.

• Balanced Weight Distribution: Beats implemented a true wireless architecture across the earcups, allowing the headband assembly itself to be 30% lighter than the Studio Pro. The weight is distributed outward to the ear cups and cushioning for an easy clamp that doesn’t cause crown fatigue.
• Tactile Thumb Controls: Ditching capacitive swipe gestures, the back of each ear cup features physical buttons designed for easy thumb access:
  • Left Cup: Power button/LED indicator and a dedicated listening mode button to toggle between ANC and Transparency.
  • Right Cup: Tactile volume rocker and a center multi-function playback button.
