BlackBerry Z10 First Impression

blackberry-z10As you know BlackBerry had an event yesterday where the press was allowed to have hands on time with the two new phones. The company has fallen behind in years but were will egger to show off the products they have been working on. All media who attended was given the BlackBerry Z10 to take home and try out, so here this is my first impression of the phone.

With a screen size of 4.2-inches it is closer to iPhone 5 in size. The size makes Z10 pretty easy use with single hand and has a nice lightweight feel to it. The phone has a matte finish and does not look cheap which is a plus. With just three physical buttons – power on top, volume up and down on the right side, Z10 has a clean design.

The device is powered by a dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz. It has a 8 mega pixels primary camera and a screen resolution of 1280×768 pixels. BlackBerry Z10 is the new operating system. There are apps with their icons and click them work with them. There is a notification hub which I love, it makes getting all your information all in one place. Swiping left to right at the bottom of the screen gives a different option compared to swiping left to right at the middle of the screen. Swiping down from the top brings up different options compared to swiping down from the top of the screen.

Now here comes the problem, apps. I would like to see more options when it comes to this section, Overall Z10 looks good, always loved the BBM app and the battery life is pretty good, as of this moment I wouldn’t drop my Galaxy Note II to make the Z10 my primary phone.
