How will this happen you ask?
Capitalizing on the Note II’s easy sharing capabilities; New York Based Designer Wang will get her sketches from her group of stylists, and photographers to create images ( everything from patterns and photos) designed on their Note II. It will then be collected to make one giant final print.
Designer words:
“I am most inspired from my everyday life and the people that surround me, so the idea of a co-creation with the people that I admire and respect the most is very exciting,” said Alexander Wang. “This collaboration represents a new way that technology and style can come together. And, through a concerted effort, I am happy to be a part of supporting such a great charity as Art Start that embraces creativity and art in a way that can change lives.”
Style and Technology Come Together to Give Back
Not only is this the innovative way of design; proceeds will go to New York based non-profit organization; Art Start. Art Start focuses on New York’s at-risk youth from ages 5 – 21. With workshops that nurture the youths’ talent and creativity; Art Start helps build and instill confidence that will help in pursuing better opportunities.
Samsung Sponsors and Inspires New York Fashion Week
As an official sponsor of NYFW, Samsung will host an exclusive VIP lounge for the fashion elite. With the power of Samsung Galaxy Products; these professionals will have great sharing and networking capabilities. Art Start students will also have a behind the scenes look at what goes on through on-site visits. To stay updated during NYFW, use hashtag #GalaxyNoteFW.
Technology Is Fashionable
Technology is definitely reaching new depths in the fashion industry. Allowing a device to take such control of a designer project shows how much we rely and trust technology to deliver. As a personal user of the Samsung Galaxy Note II, I understand that there are no limits when doodling, creating and sharing with colleagues. Combined with the fast-paced chaos of New York Fashion Week; the Note II is a perfect companion for everything from original sketches to last minute detailing. I can’t wait to see what the limited edition bag looks like. I’m hoping it has New York flare and edge.
