TYLT Energi 5K+ Battery Pack Review – 1 Charger for All Your Devices

The Tylt Energi 5K+ Battery pack is a handy backup battery. Find out why we found it so useful.

If you have read any of my phone reviews, you know by now that I always carry a portable battery pack with me. I spend too much time out and about to risk not having a backup battery. In the past year I have become a fan of TYLT products and back at CES 2014, they introduced their Energi Battery packs.

They come in many “sizes”, ranging from 2000 mAh, 3000 mAh, 5000 mAh and 10,400 mAh. They also have different connectors for your devices (except the 2000 mAh doesn’t have anything but a USB port). You can choose either a micro-usb or lightning connector on the 3,000 mAh version or have both connectors on the 5,000 mah version. The biggest battery pack, the 10,400 mAh, has 3 USB ports and no cables.

TYLT Energi 5K+ Battery Pack Features:

I recently got the 5K+ battery pack from TYLT products. With the devices that I’m constantly carrying around, it only makes sense to carry the larger battery packs. Depending on what I’m doing or what gadgets I’m carrying around, is how I decide which battery pack to carry.

The battery pack is about the size of an Nokia Lumia or Sony Xperia; very rectangular. It has two cables that are neatly stored within the rectangular body. Nice touch! You can charge two devices at once (one Apple device with a lightning port and a device through micro USB).

Energi 5K+ Cables

For a battery pack, it’s actually very lightweight. I need a lightweight battery pack because I carry so many gadgets. It’s also good because it has the cables built-in. It takes away two of my worries: 1: that I won’t have a cable available, and 2, that the cables I do carry around won’t get messed up. Just pull out the 5K+ and work!

Lightning Support

Oh there is another thing that is important (Android users might not be aware of). The lightning cable on the Energi 5K+ works. It’s the worst thing to buy a cable that’s not directly from Apple and have it not work.

Charge 1, Charge All

Let’s not forget that it has a USB port to charge a third item via USB cable. You can charge 3 items simultaneously. Unfortunately, the ports output 1 amp each, so certain devices (phablets and tablets), will take a while to load

Tylt continues building a reputation of reliable products with the 5K+ Energi battery pack being a solid product. The 5K+ is great for those who have multiple devices. It’s definitely a unique product in the field due to its 2 ports. It can be used to charge wireless headphones and iPhone or iPad, or your work and personal phones. You get the idea.

You can get the Tylt Energi 5K+ Battery pack in black and red, black and blue, or black and gray. It will run you $89.99. BUY IT HERE
