I’ve used a few wallet cases for my iPhone 5 and 5S and the biggest annoyance has been having to talk on the phone with the wallet part pressed against my nose or flapping in the wind. I came across Vaja’s Lucy Clutch and was sent over one to review.
The Lucy Clutch was designed with the iPhone 5S in mind as it has a dedicated pocket which fits it perfectly. The pocket has two mesh strips on each side not only so your phone can breathe but so you can hear your phone ring when the clutch is zipped closed. There are also the much needed credit cards slots and you find 6 in total split in half between 2 additional pockets.
Once you zip it closed there’s a wrist strap making it easy to grab all your essentials on the go. The cowhide leather feels good and expensive in your hand and at $240 some may find it to be.
Lucy Clutch Features

- Special mesh cutouts so you hear the ring sound
- Reliable, zipper closure keeps your clutch sealed
- Luxurious textured, pebble grain, Floater leather outside
- Smooth, flexible Caterina leather inside
- iPhone 5s cases – iPhone 5 cases
Vaja’s Lucy Clutch is customizable giving you 25 color options for the body and 10 for the inside. It takes approximately 20 business days for your customized Lucy Clutch to process.
Although the Lucy Clutch is geared toward the iPhone 5/5S I found it fit my iPhone 4 with no problem but with and without a case. My cards fit in the clutch very neatly without extending the size of the clutch or causing any bulge. My only complaints would be that some people might not be willing to pay $240 for an unknown brand even though the craftsmanship is well worth it. Also, I would love if I could fit my keys in it but most clutches are not thats accommodating.
If you have the means I would recommend giving Vaja Lucy Clutch a go but admittedly you can find other iPhone purses for less but they lack the customization option and cowhide material.
