One of the most coveted features of any gadget of mine – smartphone, iPad, iPod touch, laptop – is the bluetooth feature. What’s not to love about headphones without wires!
Jawbone Jambox a rechargeable speaker that brings great sound quality in a somewhat quint device. Priced at $199, its somewhat high for a Bluetooth speaker bar uses two 1.25-inch drivers on the front and a passive radiator woofer on the back, but it definitely delivers surprisingly balanced sound for its size. The Jambox also includes an integrated microphone, capitalizing on Aliph’s expertise in wireless voice communication which makes it easy to switch from listening to music to speaking to phone caller.
The Jambox comes in 4 different colors – black, red, blue, and gray and is surrounded in non rubber slip coating. This is good for people who like me who sometimes have a hard time keeping things in my hands! lol On the top of the device there are three oversize buttons–two for volume control, and a multipurpose button that gives the battery status, answers and ends calls, engages voice dial (when available), and can potentially be programmed as an autodial button if paired with a smart phone.
I ran it for a solid 3 hours while “testing” and it worked wonderfully switching from smooth R&B songs to more bass filled ratchet song (no mentioning so thou shall not be judged LMAO)! Mids and booming lows sounds great even with varying volume.
The battery is a Lithium-ion battery that ranges between 8.5 to 10 hours of play life, depending on the battery. I played it for a solid 3 while trying to relax, left it alone while out of town for 5 days and came back to it 50% charged. I’d say that was pretty dope!
I definitely think they are worth getting if you don’t have them and are looking for Bluetooth speaker that have great sound.
