Hi-Rez Studios has finally revealed details for their SMITE World Championship presented by Xbox One. You heard correctly, not only will season 2 be held on PC, but on the Xbox One as well.
Teams from around the world such as; North America, Europe, Brazil, Latin America, China, and for the first time, teams from Australia and New Zealand will compete for the grand prize and the number one spot.
The SMITE Xbox One Invitational will bring together the top four teams from SMITE’s new Xbox One competitive scene, teams will be competing for a total prize pool of $150,000.
“The 2015 SMITE World Championship made SMITE an instant leader in competitive gaming entertainment,” said Todd Harris, co-founder and COO of Hi-Rez Studios.
“This year, in collaboration with Microsoft, we are excited to debut the SMITE Xbox One Invitational which marks the arrival of MOBA eSports on console.”
The SMITE Xbox One Invitational will bring together four top teams from SMITE’s emerging new Xbox One competitive scene, competing for a total prize pool of $150,000.
SMITE World Championship (SWC) will be held on January 7-10th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center In Atlanta, GA.
