There’s always something to do in New York. I get to cover a lot of tech related events. Every now and then we dip into lifestyle events. Now that August is here we’re trying (or at least I am trying) to find things to do to enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Last week I got a preview of the Secret Summer Event that will be happening this weekend (Sunday August 14th) at the Foundry located in Long Island City (Queens), New York. The event is for guests 21 and over. See the video below to get a glimpse of the experience:

About Secret Summer NYC 2016
It was a small taste of what’s coming on Sunday. The farm-to-bar event will be held at The Foundry. The Foundry is an interesting building. It has an outdoorsy feeling mixed with an industrial vibe. With many rooms, each room will offer different vibes and tastes. The ticket includes complimentary drinks. Food is for purchase only.
The event will boast incredible craft cocktails curated by the city’s top mixologists and brands (Woodford Reserve, Herradura, Rekorderlig Cider + more), cuisine from some of our favorite food trucks (Korilla BBQ, Cinnamon Snail, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream + more), live music, a Spin ping-pong garden, performances by ballerinas and aerialists, art installations, flash tattoo stations, a floral crown-making booth and much more. There’s a lot going on.
Tickets are available for purchase via Eventbrite here and range from $100 – $150; all tickets include full access to the festival and programming, complementary cocktails and a 50% off Lyft code.

As guests enter through the tall wrought-iron gates they will be greeted by a troop of singing buskers and proceed into the garden courtyard to enjoy outdoor games, an agave harvest, lounge teepees and a variety of New York’s best food trucks. Once within the space guests will be free to explore each room and rooftop to discover a unique branded mixology experience in each one. Dancers will perform a choreographed visualaid to the curated Secret Summer soundtrack and subsequently guide ticket-buyers throughout the 12-room and rooftop expanse.
