It’s a great time to get your gear for the Back To School Season. Whether you really are headed back to school or need to re-do your your work area / office space, now is a great time to get new gear and gadgets. These are a few of the items that I’ve come across this year that will make great additions for a dorm and / or home office.
Gadgets to go Back to School Trendy and Techie:
Amazon Fire TV
If you’re away at college, you may opt out of having cable service (maybe beisdes Internet service), streaming services are a great alternative. The setup box is small and won’t take up too much space. And if you buy the Fire TV you get a free year of Amazon Prime service. Makes it worthwhile to have access to TV shows, movies, music and Free 2-day shipping on books *wink*
Even if you’re back at school you need your entertainment. If you’re mainly on your laptop and / or tablet, the Google Chromecast dongle is great for any room, not only dorm. It lets you cast what’s on your laptop, tablet, phone to your TV. It supports popular apps such as YouTube, Netflix and Hulu.
BUY IT Google Play Store or Amazon

Logitech Illuminated Living-Room Keyboard K830
If you’re lucky enough to have a Smart HDTV or if you have your computer connected to your TV, controlling your TV with the limited buttons on the remote is a bit annoying. The Logitech Illuminated Living Rook Keyboard is great for any part of a regular home, but in a dorm it makes for easy access to apps and content for your TV
Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro
The college life is a fast life. From classes to the library, to homework, studying, and back in class again we need a laptop that can keep up. A laptop that is flexible to your needs. The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is a great choice! Why? It has four viewing angles that allow you to maximize use. Using your Yoga 2 Pro to watch movies? Put the Yoga 2 Pro in Stand mode. Using it to make quick recipes or show off a group project, then put it in Tent Mode. After all of that, put it back to regular Laptop Mode use as a laptop to take class notes. The intuitive QHD 13.3 inch touch screen, Windows 8.1 OS make for perfect class companions.
What’s great about the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is that you can get a medium powered ultrabook with i5 processor or a powerhouse 2-in-1 convertible with i7 processor. Either way, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 is suited to meet your needs whether for the college life or the office. Check out the Back to school deals offered.
