When all the speculation for the new iPhones that were going to be released, I was sure that a whole bunch of cases for it. That was the case for the iPhone 6, but not the iPhone 6 Plus. It was difficult for me to find a qualitative case for the 6 Plus. I was happy to get the Clear Impactology case from Tech21. According to Tech21:
“Impactology is the promise that all our products always deliver the most intelligent impact protection. Impactology works by taking scientifically proven impact absorbing materials from across the globe and combining them together with ingenious designs to create slim-fitting products which absorb and dissipate the force of impact. ”
Build of the Tech21 Impactology Case
The case hugs around the frame of the 6 plus. It has cutouts for the rear camera, sound switch, headphone jack, microphone, lightning charging port and the speaker. However, the case goes over the volume buttons and the power standby buttons. While the back cover of the Impactology case is flexible, the border of the case if more stiff. It stretches enough to put the case around the phone, but stays firm once around the iPhone. It’s firm due to the Impact materials in the frame of the case (the orange part you see int he clear.)
The buttons were a little hard to press at first but then it loosened up a bit. It’s easier to press / control the buttons with the case on than with the case off. The Impactology case adds more width to the phone, but it’s surprisingly not bulky at all. The case is mostly clear in the back, so I can see the gold finish of the iPhone.
After a few weeks with this case, I highly recommend it due to the thin build but great protection. It does a great job of taking in impact. So far no scratches or cracked screens. I do with they had more color choices, since orange isn’t my favorite colors. But I love what the “orange” does. The borders of the phone are really protected and this case definitely gets the job done. The case is available for other iPhone models as well.
