Today during CES the company HyperX, a division of Kingston Technology, announced their new agreement with Microsoft to release an officially licensed headset for Xbox One. The HyperX CloudX Pro Gaming Headset will ship in late Q2 2016. The HyperX Cloud Series launched in 2014, and was only available for PC players, but now the HyperX CloudX series can be enjoyed by Xbox One gamers and can be plugged directly into Xbox One controllers with a 3.5mm port.

Just like the award-winning HyperX Cloud II design, the HyperX CloudX will bring gamers a new level of audio performance to their console. Players will hear every movement made in the game such as gunshots and explosions giving players crystal-clear dialogue and sound via large 53mm drivers. HyperX CloudX also offers a convenient in-line volume control and uses memory foam ear cushions and a soft leather-padded headband with custom stitching for superior comfort and style – allowing players to be comfortable for long gaming sessions.

The HyperX CloudX Over-The-Ear headset have a closed-cup design that helps block out unnecessary noise so you can focus on the game. HyperX CloudX also features a detachable microphone and comes with a hard shell carrying case to protect the headset while traveling.

“We are proud to work with Microsoft on its Xbox One gaming platform and bring our headset expertise to the console world,” said Anders Willumsen, general manager, HyperX Division. “We have always known we would enter the gaming console market since releasing our first headset for PC gamers almost two years ago. There are natural synergies between our two companies as HyperX has a strong PC presence and the Xbox One console provides deeper integration with PC gaming via the Xbox App on Windows 10.”
